Exploding Kittens is a card game for people who are into kittens and explosions and laser beams and sometimes goats. In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game — unless that player has a defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens. Exploding Kittens is the most-backed crowd funded project ever, the most-funded game in the history of Kickstarter, and has paved the way for peace and tranquility in the modern world.

I purchased this game after a couple introduced us to it. We play a lot of card games with them. Our all time favorite was card monopoly, now its Exploding Kittens. My wife and I fell in love with this game, its extremely fun. I even had a guys night watching the premiere of the Grand Tour and playing this game, we preferred playing the game over the show. It can get so intense that you almost sweat during gameplay. Worth the $20 I paid. I would recommend for anyone who has at least two or three friends who aren’t too boring.

Amusing, dumb, yet intense party game

Basically Russian roulette with funny cat cards. Simple game, easy to pick up, & like jenga the tension slowly builds. It is an elimination style game (last one standing) & you get cards that give the impression you have some control (skip, etc.), when really it’s a game of mostly luck – but it’s still a blast! Albeit a tad overpriced for the content & it’s quality

I had first heard about Exploding kittens as a kick starter way back when. I hadn’t really given it a second thought until my 12-year old saw a video for it and was intrigued. Perfect! I picked up the game for Christmas.

It’s simple. It’s fun. I personally bring it to events where we don’t have many games to play and having a new one that’s easy to learn is beneficial. Want to play with your younger relatives? Fun. Want to watch your older relative stare oddly and wonder where he went wrong with you? Fun as well.

We (two adults and two teens) enjoyed this game very much and have played it a number of times. We gave it as a birthday present and it was well received. It can get quite competitive when you are down to two people! The cards are study and well made and the illustrations are amusing. My hard to please son particularly likes it.
